I started my career working with children and adults with developmental disabilities at Wayne ARC in 2006 and spent roughly 6 years as a direct care worker.
After I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, I attended the Greater Rochester Collaborative program at Nazareth and Brockport College to obtain my MSW.
In 2013 I received my MSW and began working for St. Ann’s Community in Rochester. As a social worker at St. Ann’s I worked with the elderly population in a long-term care setting, short-term rehab, and an acute hospice unit. After St. Ann’s I worked for a brief period at iCircle as a care manager and decided that I preferred the face to face contact with the clients I serve.
I now work for Loretto in Auburn as a social worker in the short-term rehab. The individuals I have worked with throughout my career has provided me with experience in working with a multitude of individuals with mental health needs.
I frequently work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, addiction, and grief and loss among many others. I have a strong desire to work with older adults and have devoted most of my career with that population. I have an interest in working with children and families. My areas of interest are grief and loss, coping skills, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and self esteem.
